A lesbian couple in North Carolina who shared the journey of each of their pregnancies online say they are shocked but thankful for the support the images have garnered.
In order to start their family, the moms, Melanie and Vanessa Iris Roy, decided to each carry a child, but one year apart.
They documented the experience and then, once the children - son Jax and daughter Ero - were born, put the photos together and uploaded them.
The response was instantly overwhelming, with the images quickly going viral.
'It's crazy to see that people were referring to my family as an inspiration,' Melanie toldThe Huffington Post.
'We are still in complete shock.'
